Dr. Emily Hazell
Dr. Emily Hazell grew up in Paris, Ontario. She earned her Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in biomedical science at the University of Ottawa, graduating with honors. She went on to receive her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree at the University of Toronto. Emily continued her studies at the Eastman Institute of Oral Health in Rochester, New York, completing her Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) residency. She received advanced training in many dental specialties including oral surgery, prosthodontics, and the treatment of medically compromised patients.
Dr. Emily enjoys practicing all aspects of dentistry, and believes in comprehensive and quality long-term care. She loves treating entire families and strives to make their visits to the dentist a fun, positive experience. Emily is fully qualified for providing relaxed dental services with nitrous (laughing gas) sedation. She is committed to continuously improving her skills and knowledge through continuing education courses and study clubs. Dr. Emily provides advanced dental services including dental implants, Invisalign, and cosmetic dentistry.
Emily is passionate about access to dental care. She has been fortunate to provide care through programs such as Oral Health Total Health, Volunteer Dental Outreach, and Junior Smiles locally. Emily has also had the opportunity to treat patients in remote areas in Tanzania, and train dental students at Addis Ababa University, Ethiopia.
Emily is a member of the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario, the Ontario Dental Association, the ITI International Team for Implantology, and Academy of General Dentistry. Beyond the world of dentistry, Emily enjoys skiing, cycling, travelling, and spending time with her family and friends.
